FreeTuner Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 7, 2025
FreeTuner is developed and published by Krawer ("we", "us", or "our"). Our website is krawer.com.
Summary — short and clear
FreeTuner is an on-device instrument tuning app. We do not collect, store, or share personal information. The app requests only the Microphone permission so it can process audio locally to detect pitch. No audio, usage metrics, or other personal data is uploaded to our servers.
1. Information we do not collect
- No names, emails, addresses, phone numbers, or account information.
- No audio uploads: audio captured for tuning is processed only on your device.
- No analytics or third-party trackers that identify you.
2. Permissions & why they are required
Microphone access: Required to capture sound so FreeTuner can detect pitch in real time. All audio processing is performed locally on your device; the app does not transmit recordings or pitch data to any server.
If you decline microphone permission, the app’s tuning features will not function.
3. Local processing and storage
FreeTuner processes audio on-device. We do not store recordings or user-identifiable tuning data on our servers. If the app writes temporary data locally (for example, cached settings), those files remain on your device and are not shared.
4. Third-party services
FreeTuner does not integrate analytics, advertising, or third-party SDKs that collect personal information. If we add third-party services in the future that collect personal data, we will update this Privacy Policy and disclose what is collected and why.
5. Children
FreeTuner is not intended for children under 13. Because we do not collect personal data, we do not knowingly process personal information from children.
6. Your rights & jurisdictional privacy laws
Even though we do not collect personal data, you may still have rights under laws like the GDPR, CCPA, or other local regulations. If you believe we hold personal information about you (for example, via a support request you submitted), contact us and we will respond to lawful requests concerning access, correction, deletion, or portability consistent with applicable law.
7. Security
Because FreeTuner minimizes data collection, there is no central user database to secure. We follow standard security practices for our website and any developer accounts we maintain, but please remember that no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Changes to this policy
We may change this policy when we add features or if applicable laws change. When we do, we’ll update the Effective Date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
9. Contact
If you have questions about this policy or need to contact us, please email us at [email protected]. You can also visit krawer.com.
